  46.    Octamed synthsounds have got to be the coolest thing.  Not only are they
  47. useful for creating C= 64 style 'chip' sounds (as Teijo Kinnunen suggests in
  48. his DOC file for the synthsound editor, but the "transform" and "cut sample
  49. range to synthsound" buttons permit a flexible range of sound creation
  50. (synthsounds can even be used to play back samples)

  52.    This archive contains a whole mess of synthsounds which I've made over
  53. the years, and includes some synths, percussion, samples and other strange
  54. and cool sounding instruments.

  56.    Some of the files here have multiple numerical extensions, ie:
  57.                        medsy.synth.02.06.1A.1F
  58. These extensions are HEX numbers to be used with the 0Exx command (the synth
  59. jump command).  Since Synthsounds can be programmed to do certain things
  60. (ie change pitch, play different waveforms, etc), the 0Exx command permits
  61. Octamed to jump to that position in the synthsound program.  Each numerical
  62. extension refers to a different programmed capability of that particular
  63. synthsound.

  65.    These synthsounds wont work properly in anything except OctaMED (v 3.21
  66. or higher)...although they might sound cool if you loaded them up in
  67. protracker as raw samples..I've never really tried that myself :)
